Garden Raising Bees

Building on the community traditions of barn raisers and quilting bees, “Garden Raising Bees” are designed to remove barriers to motivated homeowners reducing their lawns and installing native gardens. Those can include, among other things, a lack of knowledge, a lack of time, and a lack of finances. Applicants accepted into this program will become part of a learning community committed as much to helping others design and install gardens as they are to their own. And while raising gardens, we hope to be raising experts and enthusiasts to lead the next rounds of native gardens raisers. Raising eco leaders who are raising native gardens means raising more bees!
