“You cannot get through a single day without having an impact on the world around you. What you do makes a difference, and you have to decide what kind of difference you want to make.” -Jane Goodall
Mission
The mission of Home Earth Alliance is to educate, inspire, and empower people to steward outdoor spaces to support biodiversity, mitigate climate change, and promote environmental justice.
Our IMAGINE Native Plant Farm furthers that mission by growing native plants for public & private lands and urban spaces in the greater Upper Hudson Valley.
Vision
To create an ecologically sustainable world where we:
Have shifted the paradigm of how we manage our outdoor spaces,
Reconsider our everyday actions and the impact we have on ecosystems, humans, and wildlife, and
Commit to being good stewards of the Earth.
Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Belonging Policy
We are all part of the natural world. As such, Home Earth Alliance believes deeply in respect for all living things; celebrates diversity in all its forms; and works to build resilient, just, and healthy communities.
We are committed to providing a work environment free from discrimination and harassment and disallow any discrimination or harassment based on race, color, religion, sex, gender identity or expression, sexual orientation, age, national origin, disability, marital status, military status, or any other protected characteristic.
It is with gratitude and humility that we acknowledge that we are learning, speaking and gathering on the ancestral homelands of the Mohican people, who are the indigenous peoples of this land. Despite tremendous hardship in being forced from here, today their community resides in Wisconsin and is known as the Stockbridge-Munsee Community. We pay honor and respect to their ancestors past and present as we commit to caring for the earth and building a more inclusive and equitable space for all.
